so, this is my collection of saiyuki and yami no matsuei fanfics... on diaryland despite the fact that anime fans on dland are few and far between, so if you're reading this... *pats readers head in a condescending fashion*. congrats. i mean, thank you! this diary is starved for attention.

this diary is to get this writing out in there, to share it with fellow fans but mostly just to purge it. Not everything on here is perfectly polished, and i'm less than 100% proud of pretty much all my fics (though there is like a five minute afterglow period after I write something where i'm like "i am a GODDAMNED GENIUS!" but trust me, that fades), but my point is to get them up for your consumtion, and i'm always, always open to critique, critism and suggestions. really... i don't care if you love it or hate it, as long as you comment.

so, the general jist of my fics... i started out writing gojyo/hakkai, then got into writing sanzo, and there's a foray into sanzo/goku, minor experiments in sanzo/kougaiji and sanzo/gojyo.... my writing gets around. and then i got into yami fic, which started out with a 10 page watari backstory peice, and i've turned out some tatsumi and hisoka stuff as well.

as far as content, while it's all yaoi-related, and it seems like i'm talking about sex all the time, there is no *actual* sex in it yet for some reason... im honestly not shy about it... but most of this stuff could probably be classified PG13 at the worst. wow.... thats fucked up. but you will, clearly, find some swearing, and a love of all things molestment and depressment.

you won't find any fluff in here (well okay, at once point in time there was a moderate amount of almost-fluff), and if you find any actual humor, you get a cookie. angst is my bitch, and while i couldn't tell you if i write it well, i certainly try. one of my favorite things is writing the dark sides of minor or usually lighthearted characters... for the longest time i wouldn't do sanzo/goku until i finally got in the right mindframe to write angstygoku, and some really fucked up sanzo as well, in two of the fics im proudest of, TracesofGold/Savior. they don't call me the kitten of despair for nothing...

okay.... now i'm just being silly. i hope you like the fic, or if you don't, that's copacetic. but if you're mean to me, i might kick you.

a few more things:

1) in the beginning everything was written in chronological order, but after that it jumps around in time a bit. i'll try to explain as much as possible where and when things are taking place. feel free to question.

2) my events normally don't deal very directly with the events of the series.

3) on that note, i follow the dubbed version of saiyuki and the sub of yami. and i don't care about your preferences normally but i will personally beg you not to go by the dub of yami because it's *horrible* and they butcher watari (kicks eric stuart in the face.... pokemon voice-acting bastard!)... on the flipside i have no qualms about the sub of saiyuki, its just the my attachment to the characters is through the dub and that's the way it is. *worships mr. matranga and mr. guardiola* but it's all what you're used to i guess. fair fair.

4) I am by no means an expert on either of these anime. i mean really, by no means. i depend on the kindness of strangers (and the becky) for info. so if you see something that's off, by all means, enlighten me, cuz i make TONS of mistakes.

5) speaking of, there will be rants interspersed in the fic. rants, comments, whatever. as well as links to the *wonderful* websites who have given me endless anime joy.

6) i'm a fan of taking inspiration from a lot of sources, manipulating the characters to my liking, putting them in a weird setting, and making a big semi-AU/crossover fic. i've been doing this since middle school, and i can't stop. it produces interesting results that aren't exactly fanfic, but pretty close. the killer project is an excellent example of this, and is called a project because it's sort of an experiment in manipulating yami's characters. i think that's it for intros. read. enjoy. comment as nessesary.
